Ligament injury causing pain, swelling, and joint instability, commonly affecting the ankle due to sudden twisting or impact.
What is Ligament Sprain / Ankle Sprain?
→ A ligament sprain is an injury caused by stretching or tearing of ligaments, which are the tough bands of tissue connecting bones at a joint. An ankle sprain is a common type of ligament sprain that occurs when the ankle twists or rolls beyond its normal range of motion, leading to damage of the ligaments around the ankle. These injuries can vary from mild stretching to complete tears and may affect stability and movement.

→ X-ray (to rule out fracture)
→ MRI (for ligament damage)
Treatment Management
